Streetcar Simulator
Take a Virtual Ride through Munich in the Streetcar Simulator!
On an original driver's stand, you as a trade fair visitor can virtually drive along a streetcar route of Munich - supported by driver assistance systems. Experience at first hand how these systems make streetcar traffic safer.
The streetcar simulator serves as a development platform for user-centered prototyping of assistance systems for the next generation of streetcars.
It is the result of a joint project with Stadtwerke München and partners GERSYS GmbH and optify GmbH.
SmarTram Project
The Intelligent, Automated and Safe Streetcar of Tomorrow
As part of the BMWK-funded SmarTram joint project, we are working with our project partners to develop a real-life demonstrator for an intelligent streetcar. The aim of the project is to identify the technological challenges of autonomous streetcar driving under real operating conditions and to develop and test innovative solutions for safe operation. The aim is to transfer findings from the automotive sector to rail-bound vehicles.
