Data processing on this website

IABG automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits to us in its server log files. This includes browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited page), the anonymized address (of the accessing computer) and the time of the server request.
This data cannot be assigned to specific persons by IABG. This data is not merged with other data sources. The data is only used by IABG to determine the attractiveness of the website and to improve its performance. The data is also deleted after a statistical evaluation.

REACH ANALYSIS WITH MATOMO (FORMERLY PIWIK)

As the controller, we have integrated the Matomo component on our website. Matomo is an open source software tool for web analysis. Web analysis is the collection, gathering and evaluation of data about the behavior of visitors to websites. Among other things, a web analysis tool collects data about the website from which a data subject came to a website (so-called referrer), which subpages of the website were accessed or how often and for how long a subpage was viewed. Web analysis is mainly used to optimize a website and for the cost-benefit analysis of Internet advertising.
The software is operated on the server of the controller, the log files are stored exclusively on this server.
The purpose of the Matomo component is to analyze the flow of visitors to our website. The controller uses the data and information obtained, among other things, to evaluate the use of this website in order to compile online reports that show the activities on our website.
Matomo places a cookie on the data subject's IT system. The setting of the cookie enables us to analyze the use of our website. Each time one of the individual pages of this website is accessed, the Internet browser on the data subject's IT system is automatically prompted by the Matomo component to transmit data to our server for the purpose of online analysis. As part of this technical process, we obtain knowledge of personal data, such as the IP address of the data subject, which serves us, among other things, to trace the origin of visitors and clicks.
Cookies are used to store personal information, such as the time of access, the location from which access originated and the frequency of visits to our website. Each time you visit our website, this personal data, including the IP address of the internet connection used by the data subject, is transmitted to our server. This personal data is stored by us. We do not pass this personal data on to third parties.
The data subject can prevent the setting of cookies by our website at any time by means of a corresponding setting of the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such an adjustment to the Internet browser used would also prevent Matomo from setting a cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. In addition, a cookie already set by Matomo can be deleted at any time via an Internet browser or other software programs.
Furthermore, the data subject has the possibility of objecting to and preventing the collection of data generated by Matomo relating to the use of this website. To do this, the data subject must set an opt-out cookie. If the data subject's IT system is deleted, formatted or reinstalled at a later date, the data subject must set an opt-out cookie again.
With the setting of the opt-out cookie, however, there is the possibility that the Internet pages of the controller are no longer fully usable for the data subject.

Contact form and contact by e-mail

We offer a contact form on our website so that you can contact us with questions about IABG, our website and other inquiries. You can also contact us by e-mail at info@iabg.de. When you contact us via the contact form or by e-mail, the data you provide (in particular your e-mail address, your first name and surname and the text of your inquiry as well as any other information you have provided in the contact form or by e-mail) will be stored by us in order to process your inquiry and answer your questions.

The data processing is justified in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for the processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis. Insofar as your request is aimed at the fulfillment of a contractual or pre-contractual measure with you as a natural person, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR is the legal basis for data processing. The data collected in the context of your enquiry/contact will be deleted by us as soon as it is no longer required for the processing of your inquiry. Insofar as statutory retention obligations exist, the data will be stored for the duration of the statutory retention obligation. The use of the contact form is completely voluntary for you and is not a prerequisite for using the website. We will not pass on your data to third parties without your consent.

Download of high-quality content

If you would like to receive the high-quality specialist content ("gated content", e.g. white papers, presentations, technical documentation, studies) offered on our website, you give us marketing consent in return and we process the data you provide in connection with this consent. In doing so, we validate the e-mail address provided by you using the so-called double opt-in procedure. In this context, IABG processes your personal data in order to meet organizational requirements with regard to your marketing consent. If you withdraw your consent and/or object to data processing, IABG will no longer use your data for marketing purposes. IABG will store the data required for the organizational management of your consent beyond the time of your revocation and/or objection in order to meet documentation and verification requirements and to ensure that your data will not be processed by IABG for marketing purposes in the future, unless you give new consent. IABG will delete your data when these organizational purposes cease to apply, which is generally the case after a period of three years at the end of the year following the cessation of marketing activities by IABG.
