Your Internship – Key Details at a Glance:

  • Voluntary Internship

    • Duration: Flexible, with start dates on the 1st or 15th of each month
    • Working Hours: Regular 40 hours per week
    • Location: 7 locations across Germany
  • Mandatory Internship

    • Duration: Depending on your study regulations
    • Working Hours: Regular 40 hours per week. Time off is granted as specified in your study regulations.
    • Location: 7 locations across Germany
  • Fields of Study of Interest

    We offer internships for students from almost all disciplines, with a focus on scientific fields such as engineering (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing/automation technology), computer science, physics and economics.

  • Requirements

    The requirements vary depending on the internship and are specified in the job posting or outlined in your study regulations. In general, you should have excellent academic performance, theoretical knowledge in the relevant field, teamwork skills, flexibility and proficiency in English.

Working Student | Corporate Communications

Your Role as a Working Student – Key Details:

  • Duration of Employment

    To ensure that both you and IABG get the most out of your role as a working student, we employ you for a minimum duration of 6 months.

  • Working Hours

    Your regular working hours are 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours per week during the semester break.

  • Requirements

    You are enrolled at a university or college.

  • Location

    One of 7 IABG locations in Germany.

  • Fields of Application and Departments

    We are looking for students from almost all fields of study, with a focus on scientific disciplines such as engineering (including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing/automation technology), computer science, physics and economics.

  • Application Deadlines

    You should apply at least three months before your desired start date. However, as needs often arise quickly in our departments, you may also have success with a shorter application timeline.
