Air-Transportable Weapon Carrier (LuWa)
For the further development of the Wiesel 1, we supported the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) with our technical expertise from capability derivation to the implementation of a technology demonstrator. Model-Based Systems Engineering, particularly using digital twin technology, played a key role in this process. IABG's approach focuses on transferring and harmonizing various existing digital twin technology concepts within the Bundeswehr's armament process, specifically targeting the development and evaluation of high-risk technologies as part of a feasibility study. Beyond the digital twin, the realization of a technology demonstrator as a platform solution demonstrated that the technologies under consideration could be effectively integrated into a sophisticated overall system.
Main Ground Combat System (MGCS)
Since 2013, we have been providing our technical and operational expertise for the realization of the Main Ground Combat System (MGCS), a Franco-German defense initiative for a new main battle tank. Our services include technical support in defining capability requirements for the MGCS as well as operational analysis of various concepts on future battlefields.
SPz PUMA
For military users in the army, we support the integration of the SPz PUMA into the troops. Our contributions include system analysis for further development and the integration of new components, as well as support with issues related to verification and acceptance for use within the Bundeswehr. Using modern analysis tools and methods, we assist users in bringing the system to operational readiness and ensure optimal performance of the deployed systems.
